Oh sweet Paris! Wearrivedtothisgorgeouscityalmost a weekago. WetookthechunnelfromLondonto Paris, hopped on theMetro once wearrived, and walked about 2 blockstoour studio we are rentingfrom a nice man namedVladimir. We are staying in the 6th district in a very central location called, St. Germain. Itis a busy district swarmedwithyoungpeople, yummy restaurants and quaintcafes. We are right in between Notre Dame and theLouvre. About 45 minute walkalongthe river totheEiffelTower and rightnextdoortoLuxembourgGardens and the Latin Quarter.
ThefirstdaywearriveditwasrainingsowedecidedtovisittheLouvre. Wecouldn'tbelievehowhugethismuseumwas, litteredwithfamouspaintings and sculptures liketheMonaLisa and Michaelangelo. Itwas cool toseetheoriginals, even if I hadtosquishthrough a pile oftouriststosnap a quickshot. Wespentaround 4 hours in theLouvre and probablyonlysaw about 20% ofit. Itwasenormous!Therestofourdayshere, we have beenblessedwithsunnyweather. Perfect for picnicking and climbingthetowerwherewehad an incredible 360 degreeviewofthecity. Wedidthisatsunset and itwasabsolutelystunning. Paris istrulythecityoflovers. Just about everywhereis a couple kissing and enjoyingeachother. Weatherisbe on a parkbench or laughingover a cigarette, thereis no lackofPDA. ;) I could go on and on about howmuch I have enjoyedthiscity and mynewappreciation for thefrenchlanguage, but I thinkthe photos speak for themselves. We have enjoyedevery minute, especiallywith a cozy studio toreturn home to and cook a few home cookedmeals. Make sure youwalletisheavywhenyoustayhere, itis an expensivecity, but wellworthevery euro.
